Who we are

Emmanuel Alogi Home for the Aged, “A Home Away From Home for the Elderly” is an attempt to provide a homely and respectable living for the Elders with utmost commitment, dedication, trust and care to promote compassion and love. Emmanuel Alogi Home for the Aged is a non-governmental organization established to care for the elderly. This is achieved by building a close relationship with the aged thereby making them happy citizens and protects their rights.

Founded on June 19, 2022 by Rev. Emmanuel Oluwatobiloba, Emmanuel Alogi Home for the Aged operates under the leadership of Tobby Emmanuel Foundation  to provide quality care for the elderly aged 60 years and over in Nigeria.

We help elderly people in the community affected by physical, mental, and social well-being when ageing crop up. We are an independent, neutral, non-governmental organization whose mandate is essentially derived from the agape love of the elderly.

The entire staff and volunteers of this home is committed to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of the elders, in order to provide them with comfortable living with dignity and fullness “In The Evening Of Their Lives”.

Old age comes with a lot of health issues and the elderly requires a lot of care and attention. They require someone to provide social, physical, and emotional care for them which you might not be able to do because of work and schedules. Emmanuel Alogi Home for the Aged provides senior friendly services in the areas of housing, hospitality and health for the Senior Citizens. It also addresses the special needs of differently abled seniors.

We provide a planned programme of activities to promote the health and social well-being of senior citizens on a day to day basis; and short-stay residential care for the elderly in a friendly and supportive environment.

In an era when children and close relatives are busy with careers and raising their own families, the traditional support system for senior citizens has become dysfunctional, especially in the cities. As a result, senior citizens get very lonely and long for an outlet for social interaction with their peers.

It is often not easy for busy professionals or entrepreneurs to take care of an elderly relative in their own homes as some may require a lot of attention and care.

AIMS & PRINCIPLES
Our principle aim is to provide the highest quality of care, ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment where individuality, dignity and quality of life are paramount to the residents. The following principles help provide guidelines for the home to fulfill our aims.
  • PRIVACY: The right of a resident to be valued, undisturbed whenever they wish.
  • DIGNITY: The understanding of a residents needs and treating them with respect.
  • INDEPENDENCE: Allowing a resident to take calculated risks, to make their own decisions think andact for themselves.
  • CHOICE: Giving a resident the opportunity to select from a range of alternative options.
  • RIGHTS: Keeping all basic human rights available to the resident.
  • FULFILMENT: Enabling the resident to realize their own aims and helping them to achieve these goals in all aspects of daily living
OBJECTIVE
We are of the opinion that life is worth living qualitatively. So therefore, our objectives are:
  • To provide care and succor to the old.
  • To provide residential care with full boarding & lodging facility to the old with medical care and nursing care to the old,
  • To provide day care (or weekly or weekend) services to elderly people whose family members could not spend their working hours with
  • To expand and support our service centre, offering holistic services that support senior citizens to live independent lives in their homes.
  • To render home based care services to the frail, bedbound, housebound elderly, disabled and sick elderly.
